True Story: Classified

I personally know business people who travel upwards of 250,000 miles a year. I've even heard stories of a consultant based out of Los Angeles that flies from L.A. to Sydney three times a month every month. That's insane when you personally know what a 15 hour flight does to your body! To do that 3 times a month all year round!!?? No thanks. I'll pass on that. Over 80% of my travel is for leisure.

Misión de los tontos (Fool’s Errand) Part 2

“In the eye of a hurricane at sea, the ship is pitching, rolling, yawing and surging, so it takes awhile to realize the wind isn’t howling anymore. In fact, it’s stopped completely. You have the momentarily hopeful thought you’ve moved out of the storm. Then you realize only the wind is quiet, but the seas are not getting any smaller, you’re about to get your ass kicked in the very near

Misión de los tontos (Fool’s Errand)

Preface I can recall the exact moment when pen met paper; my first entry on the first page of my first journal. Since that day, many years have passed and the vast majority are well documented. He explained his

Reservoir Dogs

Reservoir Dogs, directed in the 1990’s by Quentin Tarantino, was a game changer for me when it came to movies. The disjointed timeline style had me so captivated that as soon as the film ended I went out and bought another ticket to the next showing. For a teenager with not m

Fire the Canon

When I lived in Madrid, Spain years ago I used to have a point and shoot camera. Smartphone cameras have made them almost obsolete now, but then, the investment was worth it. My first year living in Berlin I forgot it at the Sony Center Original Version cinema and never saw it again. Pretty standard result for cameras I've had. One was stolen in Costa Rica, another left in a black cab in London an

A FUNomenal Journey

This is not a typical travel blog. If you are expecting to find a list of hotels or restaurants to visit, this isn't the place. I figure TripAdvisor or Booking.com can give you a wider selection and in-depth reviews. I also don't want to visit every single country on the planet. I have a lot of respect for people who want to do that. While accomplishing that would be an impressive feat, I wouldn'
